Ulness Selected as World Dairy Expo Digital Marketing Specialist
MADISON, WIS. – World Dairy Expo® has named Clarissa Ulness as its Digital Marketing Specialist. Ulness began her duties on May 26, 2026. In this role she will support Expo’s communications efforts through digital marketing, media relations, and graphic design in preparation for the annual event.
Ulness is a May 2026 graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison where she earned a degree in Dairy Science with certificates in Life Sciences Communication and Art Studio. During her time at UW–Madison, she served as President, Vice President, and Secretary of the Badger Dairy Club, along with serving as Service Coordinator for the Association of Women in Agriculture. She also worked as the Electronic Media and Marketing Intern for the Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences, supporting website management, social media content, and departmental communications.
“Clarissa’s education and life experiences have uniquely positioned her to round out World Dairy Expo’s management team,” states Communications Manager, Lisa Behnke. “Her enthusiasm for the dairy industry is genuine and her past participation in the event will help her manage the brand and convey to others why a trip to World Dairy Expo is worthwhile.”
A lifelong World Dairy Expo attendee, Ulness has experienced Expo from many different perspectives throughout the years. She participated as a Holstein exhibitor, competed in dairy judging and showmanship contests, and worked in many aspects of the event through her involvement with the Badger Dairy Club. Growing up on her family’s Registered Holstein farm, Ragnar Holsteins, in Valders, Wisconsin, and being actively involved in both the Wisconsin and National Junior Holstein Associations helped develop her passion for the dairy industry.
“World Dairy Expo has been such an important part of my life, so I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to join the team in this role,” said Ulness. “I’m looking forward to combining my passion for the dairy industry with my interests in marketing, communications, and design while helping share the story of Expo with audiences from around the world.”
Serving as the meeting place of the global dairy industry, World Dairy Expo is the premier forum for the dairy community to learn, share, create commerce and showcase competition. The annual event will return to Madison, Wis. September 29 - October 2, 2026. Dairy producers can experience the world’s largest dairy-focused trade show, a world-class dairy cattle show, attend seminars, meetings and presentations highlighting the latest and greatest in the industry and connect with other producers.
